Happy Birthday, Leah!

Yesterday my baby girl turned 21.  It seems like only a day or so ago that she was being brought home from the hospital.  Weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces, she was the smallest one of our girls.  A head full of honey blonde hair and the sweetest little personality from day one.

We had been through a miscarriage almost a year before she was born, and for those who have been there, you know that it is one of the most trying times emotionally that you ever go through.  Alot of times we have wondered if that baby was the boy we never had.  But every time we think of that dark time we have to remember that if we had kept that baby we probably never would have had Leah, and what a wonderful blessing she has been!  She was just like sunshine for Mommy and Daddy after suffering our loss.  Didn't take much to make her smile.  Just look in her direction and her face would light up.

Now she's all grown up and a mom to a beautiful little girl that has a personality much like her mom's.  We had them all here for Thanksgiving and got to love on little Ella a little bit.  Don't get to do that near as often as we would like.  :(

Just want to say to Leah, we are so proud of the young lady you have become.  You are a wonderful wife and mother and we love you so very much.  We were truly blessed by God the day that he sent "Mom's Little Bomb" to us on Pearl Harbor Day.

Love you Leah!  Happy Birthday!
